Privacy
This page explains what happens to the personal data you share on igormikhaylov.com. The site uses no cookies and no advertising trackers.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Igor Mikhaylov, resident in Italy. You can reach him at hello@igormikhaylov.com for any question about your data.
What data is collected
Only what you choose to send through the contact form: your name, your email address and your message. If you write directly to hello@igormikhaylov.com, the same applies to your email.
Like any website, the hosting service also records technical data such as your IP address and browser type for a short time, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, in an aggregated way (pages viewed, where visitors come from, country, type of device), without cookies, without storing anything in your browser and without following people across other websites. Igor sees only totals, never who an individual visitor is. The basis for this is the legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Why, and on what basis
Your name, email and message are used only to read and answer your message. The legal basis is your request itself and the legitimate interest in replying to it (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR). Your data is never sold, never used for newsletters or advertising, and never shared with anyone else except the services listed below.
Filling in the form is voluntary. Without an email address, however, it is not possible to reply.
Who processes it
The site and its contact form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., based in the United States, which receives the form on Igor’s behalf and forwards it to him by email. Emails to hello@igormikhaylov.com, including these notifications, are stored with Namecheap Private Email, a service of Namecheap, Inc., also based in the United States. Visit statistics are processed by Cloudflare, Inc., based in the United States. Data transferred to the United States is protected by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them, and in any case no longer than 12 months, unless an ongoing conversation requires otherwise.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, to object to it, or to receive a copy of it. Write to hello@igormikhaylov.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (opens in a new tab).
